Community Connections for Older Adults
Local Organizations Come Together to Launch “Community Connections for Older Adults” Outreach Campaign in Southern Dallas
Dallas, TX — Groundwork Outreach, a Dallas-based nonprofit specializing in data-driven community engagement, is proud to announce the launch of Community Connections for Older Adults—a collaborative outreach campaign designed to connect residents age 60+ (and their caregivers) with critical aging-related resources.
This initiative is a partnership between Groundwork Outreach, VNA Meals on Wheels, The Senior Source, and Dallas City Council member Zarin Gracey (District 3). It is jointly funded by Communities Foundation of Texas, The Dallas Foundation, and Lydia Hill Philanthropies. Over the next several weeks, trained Groundwork staff will be canvassing the Singing Hills neighborhood and surrounding areas in sections of the 75232 and 75241 ZIP codes.
Through door-to-door outreach and on-the-ground surveying, the team will listen to residents and gather insights about what services and supports are most needed—from food access and transportation to caregiver support and in-home health options. The information collected will directly inform how resources are delivered in the community in the coming months.
Councilmember Zarin Gracey emphasized the importance of this initiative:
“We are excited to take meaningful steps toward improving access to critical services for seniors in District 3. Our older residents deserve safe, reliable, and convenient support that allows them to thrive, stay connected to their community, and enjoy continued prosperity.”
The Community Connections for Older Adults campaign launches in August and will continue throughout the end of the summer. Community members who are 60+ years or older, or caring for someone who is, and would like to sign up to receive these free services, please visit https://bit.ly/CommunityConnectionsForOlderAdults to fill out the interest form.
